This tutorial is about how to use the painting software Tux Paint. The main Computing concepts covered in this lesson are the combination of text and graphics and use technology to create, manipulate and retrieve content.

Optional challenge activities are:

  • Use layers by selecting content to go on the screen first to become the back layer.
  • Use perspective by making images smaller when they are placed at the top of the screen.
  • Add effects with the magic tool.

Tux Paint is completely free software, released as “Open Source” software, under the provisions of the GNU General Public License
