Create a conversation with Scratch
This is a tutorial for creating a program using Scratch where two sprites (characters) talk. Students will use a combination of the say and wait blocks. The main programming concepts taught are to sequence an algorithm correctly and to debug a program.
Optional challenge activities are:
- Change the direction a sprite is facing
- Import downloaded images as sprites
- Include multiple backgrounds in the sequence
- Add sound effects to the sequence
- Add movement to sprites
Scratch is developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab. See http://scratch.mit.edu
